According to an April 7 report from Digital Asset Manager Coinshares, Cryptocurrency Exchange-Traded Products (ETPS) saw a new outflow last week in which investor capital attracted $240 million.
The outflow reversed a second-week inflow of a total of $870 million, bringing the total digital asset ETP holdings to approximately $133 billion, Coinshares reported.
According to James Butterfil, research head at Coinshares, the new outflow likely reflects investors’ attention in response to concerns over global trade tariffs imposed by the US and potential threats to global economic growth.

Bitcoin ETPS flip monthly total minus
Bitcoin (BTC) ETPS led the recession with a weekly $207 million outflow. As a result, the monthly flow has been negative for the first time this year, with a net outflow of $138 million over the past 30 days.
Despite the monthly leaks turning red, Bitcoin ETP still has a significant inflow since the start of the year, totaling $1.3 billion, according to Coinshares data.

Ether (ETH) Link ETP saw $38 million in weekly outflows, but continued to hold $279 million in YTD inflows.
Multi-asset ETP and short Bitcoin ETPS saw $26 billion in $144 million and YTD outflows, respectively, despite light flows last week.
Grayscale leads ETP leaks
Cryptocurrency ETP, a leading crypto investment company, Grayscale Investments, led the issuer’s losses last week, with $95 million being withdrawn from the product.
According to Coinshares data, Grayscale’s outflow since the start of the year was $1.4 billion, the highest of all ETP providers.

Meanwhile, Ishares ETF by BlackRock is maintaining a $3.2 billion YTD inflow after seeing a $56 million outflow last week.
Crypto ETP by Proshares and Ark Invest is only two other major publishers with YTD influx worth $398 million and $146 million, respectively.
