Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees said he wanted to join the NFL broadcasting team as a game analyst, suggesting he is already working with media companies.

If he returns to the air, Breeze said he would follow in the footsteps of other quarterbacks of his time, including Tom Brady and Tony Romo, and feel comfortable as a game commentator. According to Athletic, Brady signed a 10-year contract with Fox worth at least $375 million in 2022. He concludes his first season airing Sunday’s Super Bowl 59.
“I love broadcasting because there’s insight to come with playing positions, quarterback positions for 20 years that no one else has. On the field, why,” Brees said. He spoke on Thursday in a CNBC Sports interview at Radio Row in New Orleans prior to. “So I’d like to have the right opportunity and I would like to do it.”
When asked if Breeze was already in discussion with media executives, he said, “Maybe.” If work could begin next season, he replied, “Maybe.”
“I love soccer games and always get into the NFL games with some ability,” Brees said.
