Imagine this: It’s 6:00 pm on Wednesday. Maybe Thursday or Tuesday. You don’t want to go home yet, but you’re ready to leave the office. A quiet drink, but where? In the middle of the week, pubs in the city are often packed from the excitement of the hybrid. It is not ideal when wine and quiet scrolls are needed. Perhaps you can catch up with your friends and hear what they are saying, but is it too much to ask for a square mileage? I conducted a survey, and these are the bookmarked bars.
Merchant’s house
13 Welcoat, London EC4M 9DN
Good: Whiskey lovers
Not very good: after pint. There is no beer in the draft
For reference: They also run the tasting master class with ram, gin, and whiskey.
Price: £ 6.49 for one whiskey, £ 12.95 in double
Business hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:00 am. Saturday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am
Web site; direction
Under the drinks standing outside the pub in the city, the merchant house feels like a different world. If you go down the hidden underground environment, this intimate and cozy environment will clarify itself as jazz and blues sound will attack you at the same time. Here, the central bar is surrounded by flying spots and alcove, and there are many old European maps and stuffed animals. (If this sounds like a kitsch, believe me, not.) Low lighting means that it is too dark to read a book, but it sinks into one of many large leather sofas. Ideal for hiding for several hours from the world.
The merchant house takes that spirit seriously. In total, the collection exceeds 1,000, including 600 whiskey. Some of the most apparent spirits include unusual puppy van winkles, which are difficult to obtain whiskey in Morris and Australia. Go for £ 345 with double. However, there is no menu. Bartenders and WaitStaff will ask what you are feeling, according to what your favorite spirit, vodka, or your favorite spirit. They do average Manhattan, and their main street dies.
Erbino
47 Fleet Street, London EC4Y 1BJ
Good: Wine enthusiasts and wine are troubled
Not very good: crying at night. Wooden chairs may be comfortable -you need stretching for a while
For reference: There are traditional tapas and small plates in Europe
Price: £ 7.70- £ 14.95 Glass wine
Business hours: Monday to Friday, noon to 10:00 pm

Elvino was a city institution for more than a century. What began in 1879 as a wine marcant in a nearby mark lane was a journalist in the heyday of Fleet Street. In 2015, it was sold to the Davy family and is now a small wine bar based in London. However, the front of the antique shop, the signboard of the golden leaves, the hanging light, and the gorgeous bar, holding the charm.
Of course, Elvino’s appeal is wine around the world. French wine is a brilliant bottle of Bordeaux (such as San Emilion’s 2018 Chateau Sun Sonnet) and a special discovery glitter, from a clear white white man (Pikipur de Pinnet Bellaldent is a solid favorite). It focuses from the shine bottle. 。 Everything is provided in a comfortable ham of conversation and jazz at a comfortable level to catch up with friends. In addition to the bar on the first floor and the space downstairs, there is a courtyard around the back, catching the evening summer sun at a right angle.
Demon, Wise & Partner
27a Throgmorton Street, London EC2N 2an
Cocktail for adventurous types
Not very good: Drinkers before hungry dinner. No food or bar snacks
For reference: If you are there early, you may not need to make a reservation
Price: £ 14- £ 18 cocktails
Business hours: Tuesday to Friday, 5:00 pm to half -night

This small basement cocktail bar near the bank is cool, like a cave, and the gorgeous seats are wonderful after a fierce day. Cocktails range from classical to unique composition. In other words, the two signatures blend the devil and the sage, but they are not the same. By simulating the back of the bar, each recipe is made only 100 times before changing, and challenges the bartender’s abilities and customer preferences. It’s a playful concept that may be accompanied by exaggerated air.
The demon (the menu says, “We reflect our inner evilness) has an error on the strange aspects of mixology, and there are more pizza than most pizza. In my visit, this means a blend of homemade corn liqueurs, tikorosa tequila, Yu -soda, and Mexico lime, and it was a bit sweet and refreshing.
On the other hand, the sage is more like a twist of classics (“showing the maturity, wisdom, and complexity of the year”). When I was there, it was the sourness of whiskey. The smoky bourbon with the hints of caramel and vanilla is combined with the bitterness of the Adriat Corost Aret, Banana and Bergamot, topped with foamed egg whites and lemon peel. The result was complicated but smooth.
Dave wine bar
2 St. James Passage, London EC3A 5DH
Suitable for outdoor seats
Not very good: Seats are limited and filled quickly, so groups of 2 or more people, groups of 2 or more
For reference: A small plate menu is also available, focusing on seasonal British agricultural products.
Price: 7 pounds -£ 14 for cocktails. £ 8-18 to glass wine
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am from 8:00 am (coffee and pastry), noon to 11 pm. Friday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
Web site; direction

Dave’s wine bar is a glass -like slicing slicing like glass in some of the oldest buildings in London. At the bottom of the office building, it’s not just a stumble on the main street, right behind the business main street of Aldegate. Named after David Howden, the owner of the Howden Insurance Group CEO, it is a spot of Vibey City-Worker. The atmosphere is sophisticated and elegant, but not a trivial matter, but music is more than several other places in this list.
The bar itself is the focus. It is a design of a green concert topped with granite. A high -chair with leather fabric, it is a perfect stop tree. For cocktails, please try tequilos +punch. This is a favorite of the house for a good reason. It is beautifully balanced by combining unprotected ingredients such as Earl Gray, Rose, Coconut Milk, Bergamot, and Aja. From Tuscany’s Vare Pitchola Estate to the attractive Stevebird Sauvignon Blanc in New Zealand, you can get a good selection with glass. Fizz, like food, is more local and can be obtained with a kent Gusbourne Blanc de Blanc in a pop of 14 pounds.
MNM bar
141-142 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 6BL
Good: Really hidden, comfortable and quiet place
Not very good: The volume rises late in the evening
Reference: Yes, it’s in a barber shop
Price: Cocktail from £ 14.50
Business hours: Tuesday, 4:00 pm to 11 pm. Wednesday to Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:00 am
Web site; direction
If you are induced to the MNM bar due to Google Maps or CityMapper, you may think you misunderstood when you were directed to the fencHurch Street barber shop. But you have certainly arrived at your destination. Behind the inside of the barber shop and under the stairs, there is a Speakease, which was previously known as Gobspy, behind the bookshelf opened like a door.
After passing through the bookshelf, the internal bar is small, dark, and industrial. Exposed concrete walls, warm Edison light bulbs, and long sofas may give the impression of New York and Chicago’s water holes, not underground London. Music at a comfortable conversation level is modern and bright, retreats from the madness of the upper town and enjoys a quiet tipple.
Cocktails are lined up with a wealth of personality and flavor from light. According to the bartender, one of the most popular ones is Picante, a beautiful spicy Margarita production with Agabetquila, Citrus Mix and Pobranochi Rylicure. For those who love burns, find extra spices. Charlie Chaplin is also recommended on the light menu, and it is well balanced with fresh lime juice, apricot liqueur, slogin, sweetness and sourness. Full bars can also be used for those who want an off -menu classic.
Top hints: Go early -The noise level rises as the night goes on.
