Homedics WakeBand Alarm
Price: £29.99
buy
Some people have to get up, others need to lie, but the high-pitched sounds of “old car corners” on iOS and the “space bell” on Samsung can awaken everyone in their ears. Attached to a soft touch strap, this simple device connects to your phone via Bluetooth and wears it on your wrist at night. Setting the alarm via a dedicated app will gently vibrate when that time rolls, wake up, and (hopefully) no one else. The intensity level can be adjusted on a 1:9 scale. I set up a backup alarm during my test, but it was definitely stoked at level 2 or 3. As someone who regularly falls asleep on the train, I found it useful to excite me at my stop.

Yogifi Gen 3 Yoga Mat
Price: £150
buy
I sympathize (and I agree) with people who wonder why everything should be “smart” or “powered by AI.” However, these things are done properly and can really help. The third generation of Yogifi yoga mats wears that smartness lightly. The only visible difference from the standard mat is the small board on the head for charging USB-C and Bluetooth to pair with the phone. The sensor sends movement to the YOGIFI app. This guides the exercise while monitoring stability and posture. The lights on the board will give you feedback immediately and your progress will be saved. A small phone stand may be useful during use.
Brush Hour
Considering that toothbrushes are one of the first things we use in the morning and the last one in the evening, it’s amazing that we don’t have a close relationship with them. However, most people struggle to name the models they own and do not compete to save them in the event of a fire. Slipper appears to have broken that trend with its sustainable electric toothbrush. Since its launch three years ago, it has picked over 12,000 reviews on TrustPilot, with an average of 4.7 out of 5. “We were chasing the tail by generating adequate supplies,” admits co-founder Mark Rushmore.

However, as these supply issues have been ironed for a long time and toothpaste firing has also been fired under its belt, the company has announced a second iteration of its flagship products. The slim body and head shape and dimensions remain exactly the same, but the engineering overhaul within the handle provides some notable improvements. Part of this was prompted by suggestions from loyal pickpocket users. Disclaimer: I’ve been using the original since it first appeared on HTSI in 2022 and have come to overly like it, but I tend to cause mild trouble while stuffing it in a small wash bag. It’s one of the changes – the long button press activates the travel lock – but perhaps more importantly, the motor is more powerful and now there is a built-in pressure sensor to teach you good brushing habits.
Part of its appeal is simply its appearance. Unlike chunky, mass-market electric brushes that evoke the design of male trainers, it is a sophisticated unit that feels fun to use, and the recyclable head is a big tick in product space with poor eco-credentials. More actually, it makes your teeth and gums feel clean, and the hair vibrates 33,000 times per minute, cleaning and polishing. I can’t completely trust the zero filling records by keeping them intact, but it certainly helped.
Have a day of good hair every day

Dyson AirWrap Co-Anda2x Styler
Price: £579.99
buy
Dyson’s latest multi-stylers come in two editions: Curly + Collie or Straight + Wavy, each with an electric cane and attachment that suits your hair type. (There’s no “bald” version that might work for me, but my partner has hair so I was making it work.) It is based on the ability of previous airwrapping to smooth, curl and dry without using extreme heat, and the dryer – its minimal flashy features are very fast and effective. Some people acknowledge the possibility of connecting styling wands to the app, but in doing so, each routine will be tailored to your hair type with advice on operations, alignment, techniques and more. Super bright hair without heated plates.
Dream Steam

Steam hairy light
Price: £80
buy
Steamers in luxurious clothing look good and work very well whether they knock out wrinkles from hanging clothes or use them as iron. Although its large steamers are quite a lot, this compact version is about 30% lighter and comes with new features such as a rotating head (suitable for flexibility and packaging), a death calling system, and two modes of operation (on demand or continuous). It gets hot quickly and comes with protective gloves and provides something to press on when smoothing out the collar or pockets. The water tank needs regular refills, which is a slight inconvenience compared to the confusion that the average hotel iron can make.
