President Donald Trump has selected one of the members of the US Competition Oversight Commission to replace Lina Khan as the next chair.
The president-elect announced his choice of Andrew Ferguson to head the Federal Trade Commission, calling him “a person with a proven track record of withstanding Big Tech censorship” in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday night.
Before becoming FTC commissioner in April of this year, Mr. Ferguson served as Virginia’s attorney general and before that served as chief counsel to Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell.
“Andrew will be the most America-first, pro-innovation FTC Chairman in our nation’s history,” President Trump said.
