Michael Saylor’s strategy says he bought 21,021 Bitcoin after raising $2.5 billion from the fourth preferred stock (STRC).
The strategy that has the largest holding of Bitcoin (BTC) among public companies averaged $117,256 per coin on Tuesday, bringing the total stash to 628,791 BTC. This purchase was the company’s biggest since March 31st.
Formerly known as MicroStrategy, the company raised $2.5 billion by selling 28 million shares of the floating rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock (STRC) for $90 each.
The strategy was marked in 2025 as the largest IPO in the US in terms of total revenue. The deal was more than twice the much-anticipated billion-dollar IPO for the Stablecoin Issuer Circle Internet Group, which was released in June.
It is the latest use of the planning strategy to buy Bitcoin using financial instruments. The company uses equity, debt and convertor notes to fund Bitcoin purchases, affecting at least 160 public companies and includes cryptocurrencies on its balance sheet.
STRC is Nasdaq Bound
According to the strategy, STRC is scheduled to open trading on NASDAQ on Wednesday, placing it to pay a monthly board-adjusted dividend aimed at income-centric investors as the permanent priority security of the first US exchange listing issued by Bitcoin Treasury Company.
STRC is the latest and lasting preference product of the strategy used to fund Bitcoin purchases.
Others include STRK, a convertible share with a fixed dividend of 8%. STRF, non-convertible with a cumulative yield of 10%. Stride (STRD), pays a 10% non-cumulative dividend.

MSTR flat after the bell
Strategic Stock (MSTR) fell 2.26% on Tuesday, with little movement after Bell after the announcement of Bell’s latest Bitcoin purchase.
MSTR has increased by 31.55% so far this year. This is a slight increase since 2024, when the company’s shares rose 358.55%.
The latest purchase of the strategy will be made two days before the second quarter revenue report on Thursday. This shows how the company’s capital was raised until June 30th and how Bitcoin purchases affected the balance sheet.
